Even these mundane things can make your kitchen feel better
The kitchen really is the heart of the home. I’ve often wondered if we should just make the house one big kitchen with a couple of offshooting bedrooms and call it good. It is the center and focal point for most family gatherings, people want to congregate there for chats, nibbling and generally just enjoying being around other people.
If your kitchen is in need of some updating and you don’t have big money for a huge remodeling consider some of these smaller improvements. For instance you could simply go out and replace your kohler kitchen faucet. The one you have may be leaking, or even just look like it was in style 30 years ago. New ones aren’t always as expensive as you’d think, but be careful as you can sometimes get what you pay for.
If you fall in love with a new faucet but it looks horrible with your sink, then get a new kitchen sink, too. There are some great options like undermount kitchen sinks or fiberglass or a ton of others that come in a variety of colors. Give yourself at least a day to put it in if you’re not the handy type.
Personally, I’m thinking of getting a new reverse osmosis water filter. My mother and mother in law both have one and their ice cubes are completely clear. It makes the water almost tasteless and somehow I just feel better drinking it.
If you’re looking for a few kitchen upgrades consider those without breaking the bank.
